The Williams Conference Center is a graceful and private
setting for both indoor and outdoor functions in downtown Millsboro. This former
home of United States Senator John J. Williams and his wife Elsie is now owned
and managed as a conference center by the Delaware Technical and Community
College's Owens Campus. The 1927 home and surrounding gardens make a prestigious
yet comfortable setting for business and industry meetings, holiday parties, and
special receptions. Elegantly furnished in the style of the late 50's and early
60's and seasonally decorated, the home features displays of Republican
political memorabilia related to Senator and Mrs. Williams. The Williams
Conference Center is conveniently located within walking distance of Millsboro's
downtown shopping and dining establishments.
Four rooms on the ground floor of the home can be combined
to provide space for larger receptions, while the Conference Room and Living
Room offer seating space for small groups. The landscaped grounds and canopy
tents are available for outdoor functions. Catering is arranged by the facility
user, and requests are processed through the Delaware Technical and Community
College catering service. An on-site kitchen is available for refrigeration and
warming only, and the Conference Center can provide beverage service and light
fare. Alcoholic beverages are allowed with the permission of the College. Ample
parking is located across State Street, with a small parking lot at the
building. With assistance, the Conference Center is handicapped accessible.
Overnight accommodations are available nearby.
